How to make a pocket paper airplane

Ok, this blog is supposed to be about tech. But this is a one-off blog post about how to make a mini paper airplane. This will be able to send messages. If you want to use the same plane to send many different messages, use bluetack to stick the message onto the plane.

Let’s get started!

You will need:

Square paper

Optional but recommended:

So, first you must fold the square paper in half. Then fold the corners. It should look like this:

Next, fold down the triangles to make an envelope shape.

Fold the envelope’s corners to make more triangle shapes. Pop up the little triangle and (recommended) glue it to the wings. Then fold the whole thing in half and turn it upside down.

That’s it!

  1. i liked it. it looks like a fun model for a paper airplane, too.

i use the web interface, so likes have never been turned off. you cant turn likes automatically into comments though– you can only lose the like metric that gives you quick feedback from a larger number of people. if you turn it off, its like ignoring information you would get back, but now cant. up to you! people often want to tell you they like something without having much else to say– given no ability to like, they just wont do anything. an interaction (however small) thrown away.
