A successfull OpenGL session on my RPi3

Today I had to do a Pi Recovery reset to free up some storage on my RPi3. Once done, I opened raspi-config and enabled ‘AB GL Driver’. I rebooted and I had to unplug the power supply and replug it in again a few times but after 4 times I span my mouse and pressed on the keyboard and saw the Raspbian desktop load. The thing was, when I clicked on Shutdown and then logout, my TV displayed no signal. Also Minecraft 1.8.9 wouldn’t load. I have been using OpenGL with no problems.

A problem that you might encounter with OpenGL Enabled on your Pi:

The Pi doesn’t always load. You have to spin the mouse around sometimes but if you see no Desktop you will have to unplug and plug in your Pi again. You might have to do this a few times but the Raspbian desktop should load eventually.

I disabled OpenGL using NOOBS’ Config Editor because I wanted to be able to play Minecraft Pi again because no game showed when GL was enabled. I like the GL though and I will enable it on my Pi Sometimes.

PS: The GL only works Pi2s and Pi3s. Enabling it on a different Pi will cause that Pi not to boot.
